To aquaint you with Tranquility Farm and its policies, we refer you to our Mission Statement. We are a 501 (c )(3) Public Charity and tax exempt corporation dedicated to renewal of the human spirit through the wonderful therapeutic relationship with horses. If you fit our profile upon taking our questionnaire, monthly donations(above the fair market value) to the farm for lessons, boarding or leasing is tax deductible. Cash donations and new equipment, etc. is also tax deductible.

Because of your caring, we can help horses help people to become more than they ever dreamed. We need everything. Money donations are great but you can help in so many other ways. Please look over the list of suggestions for other Contribution ideas.

  • Sponsor a horse - Sponsors are dedicated to helping our horses and assuring that the Farm can continue to grow and help both people and horses. All sponsors will have acknowledgment on our website as our small thanks for your kindness, plus a 501(c )(3) contribution letter for tax time.

  • Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area- If you are a U.S. Federal employee, you are eligible to contribute through payroll deductions or one time gifts. The 5 digit Charity Code for Tranquility Farm Equestrian Education and Renewal Center, Inc. is 34380 Your gifts are greatly appreciated.

  • Make a financial Contribution - 100% of all donations go towards the horses, their upkeep,making the therapeutic programs for clients possible and of course all are tax deductible. Please use our PayPal link or mail to Tranquility Farm 11819 Whates Lane, Thurmont, Maryland 21788.

  • Proof of Purchases From Southern States and Lucerne Farm for feed or Dengie hay. Please mail the proofs of purchase to Tranquility Farm 11819 Whates Lane, Thurmont, Maryland 21788.

  • Attend a Fundraiser - Several times a year we host a variety of fundraisers. Parties, concerts, raffles and auctions are always fun to attend and help the farm a great deal.   • Talk to People Post our brochures at horse events and feed stores; anywhere you might find horse lovers or people who understand what a wonderful role they play in humans lives. Just spread the word about us and be as supportive as you can.

  • Donate new or as good as new items- Fly Strips, Hay, Southern States Feed, Apples, Carrots, Shavings, De-Wormers, Grooming Accessories, Halters and Leads, Fly masks and sprays, Buckets, Horse Blankets, Tack and other Riding Equipment (All tack and riding equipment must be in new condition for safety reasons), Equine First Aid Supplies, Lumber and Building Supplies, Office supplies, and Stamps, Fencing materials, Paint, Lime and Fertilizer, Tractors or parts and Lawn Mowers, Wheel Barrows, Weed Wackers.

  • Special Service/Volunteers- We need barn and maintenance workers, knowledgeable people and more. People may donate any special service that they may be able to offer. We appreciate the small business owners and their support. We also appreciate the families that go together and adopt a horse or horses and once yearly give a year’s supports for that horse or contribute monthly for the horse of their choice. This organization entirely depends upon the goodwill of the public and the wonderful Volunteers who give of themselves so that the horses can be a blessing to people in need.
    ** Our Special Needs include grantwriting skills, public relations, web site maintenance, and farm maintenance skills.

  • Indoor Arena Campaign - Tranquility Farm is in great need of a modest indoor arena so that lessons can be given in our severe winters and inclement weather. Any contribution that you can earmark for the Indoor Arena is deeply appreciated, and of course your gift is tax deductible as allowed by law.
